later blog today. Today is one of those days where everything feels like it's going 100mph and you're just standing there watching it go by. I blame a rough night at work last night and deciding to do taxes after that. Two things I wasn't looking all that forward to doing but got done and can move on. Well I said yesterday that todays' post is about the food, generally I take pictures of everything to upload but that's not in the cards this week you'll have to read about it.
Breakfast was very bean-y last week as I went back to the basics, I decided I could only take so much beans and eggs and nothing else so I added some to this weeks egg bake. the total is a dozen eggs, one diced green pepper, one diced onion, 10 strips of peppered (home seasoning, not pre-peppered) turkey bacon and a cup of diced mushrooms. throw this all into a bowl and dump it 1/2 of it into your large glass pan, add two cans of drained black beans and add the remainder of the egg contents. Why do you add the beans into the middle of the batch you ask? because the beans will then sit on top of the other ingredients and not sink to the bottom which I've found to be the case otherwise.
Lunch is the chili that has been the staple the past few weeks, this time it is without tomato paste and some jerk seasoning to give it a bit of a spice.
Otherwise the food has remained the same as the slow carb plan calls for.
With doing the taxes last night I skipped the kettlebell workout that I had planned on doing and just went to bed once the taxes were complete. Was just commenting to Sean about being lazy today with being late blogging and working out, and he provided some inspiration to get going, hopefully I'll get to the gym at work to do a quick modified dumbell into kettlebell workout, and get going on the cardio tonight.
